If you mustache...

Are mustaches still a thing? Anyhow at being the age where every other person is either having a baby or getting married.. it is a great way to get the creative juices going (since you know.. I haven't made anything or blogged in forever heehee) Some handmade bridal gifts for a mustache themed shower and weddddding!!

His and Hers mustache/lips passport cover :)

I discovered this leather store in downtown and came across a bunch of super discounted leather scraps.. Score! First time using leather as a medium..  Is it sad to say its not so bad. Mustache shaped luggage tag :)

And lastly, something I found on Pinterest.. this is framed ring holder. I guess the premise of this is safe keeping for your wedding ring either at the bedside or by the kitchen sink while you're doing dishes. Cute concept!

I am Groot!

Anyone who hasn't seen Guardians of the Galaxy definitely needs to. It's such a fun, entertaining movie. I am not going to go into the many aspects of it that make it great, but the biggest thing? Groot. More specifically, baby Groot! Hands down the best part of the movie (SPOILERS!!) is baby Groot dancing to the Jackson 5. Love love LOVE!  So naturally I couldn't resist attempting a crochet version of him....

Not too shabby huh? (IMHO of course ;))

Roses, Foxes, Rainbows, and Apples!

Augh life has been busy with school and work and work and school and me just laying around on my iPad trolling tumblr and Pinterest in between. You know.. adding to my DIY board instead of actually getting around and making things :) Anyhow in honor of March.. (it's National Craft Month!! )here's a dump of a couple of things I've made since my last post..
RED VELVET ROSE COOKIES!!! Better than real roses let me tell you. Super delicious and super easy to make. Happy late Valentine's Day!! (Also, iambaker I love you) <3

FOX SLIPPERS!!! Because you know.. that's what the fox says..

So didya guys know that March 4 is National Pancake Day?!?! Actually it was just an excuse for me to try to make some rainbow pancakes. Who doesn't love eating something as cute as this?

And this is my second attempt at another black apple doll. For a little girl who just turned one.. hopefully she likes it! I did try my best although I'm sorry I picked the wrong fabric for her skin tone :/

New Projects

So I've seen peg dolls floating around and thought to myself.. why not try it! All I have to say is.. my painting skills definitely need work.
Can you tell who they are!?!?!
Sherlock and Jax Teller of course.. :)

The back of his cut. I tried the best I could but a steady hand I do not have.

So now I can say, been there done that and lets leave the painting to the experts hahaha.

The Huntress Cowl..

I am a huge huge Hunger Games fan. And Jennifer Lawrence fan. Read all the books prior to it becoming a movie and am still crazy about it. (FYI everyone needs to read the Divergent series as well as The Fault In Our Stars before they come out as movies this year... DFTBA!) So when I saw the latest Catching Fire I immediately fell in love with Katniss's knitted cowl/shawl one shoulder attire.

This one.. to those who haven't seen it yet -__-

I found this free pattern on Ravelry and knitted away! Geez I love Ravelry. I followed this pattern mostly.. adjusted for my broad shoulders though. It did take awhile for me to learn the herringbone stitch but YouTube saved the day! Thanks guys. And here is the finished piece :)

Not exactly the same but close enough for me!! I love love it. It's too bad its too warm here in southern california for me to actually wear it about.

Happy Belated New Year!!

So it has come to my attention that I have not blogged in quite awhile.. my apologies for that. I have just been enjoying my time off from school (it was too short) and am taking time during my lecture to blog now heehee. So Happy late New Year!! I spent the holidays working.. the cons of a job in healthcare.. but its okay I did get Christmas off. This is going to be a quick catch up post. Not a lot of new projects just stuff I've seen on and around Pinterest and Ravelry :)

I didn't have enough time to make much homemade Christmas gifts this year.. just knitted up a bunch of scarves from this quick pattern I found on Ravelry!

Sooo.. that was pretty much it. And for myself.. this awesome mustache neckwarmer. It was pretty simple and cute! That is if you're not tired of mustaches :) Planning to make another one similar to that of Jax Teller from SOA. Love love that show.

More projects to share.. but I'm not going to put them all in one post :) Soooo see you later!
